We're looking for volunteers to come and help out at Cerenety.




We have a range of maintenance, animal husbandry and conservation tasks that must be carried out. With your help,we hope to achieve more and help you to learn some valuable skills, have a great time and a free holiday in the West Country.

What you will receive when you volunteer at Cerenety.
- Free accommodation (usually camping) with shower and toilet facilities.
- Free teas, coffees and cold drinks.
- Useful skills in animal husbandry, conservation and maintenance.
- A unique experience.

What you will do at Cerenety.
We ask that volunteers work 4 hours a day. This is timetabled before your arrival.
Work could involve any or all of the following tasks.
- Vegetable plot maintenance and extension including the planting of winter crops.
- The design and building of new compost toilets.
- Maintenance of yard and stables.
- Animal care and training.
- Building demolishing and some rebuilding.
- Clearing, tidying and organising.
- Building of foundations.
- Campsite preparation and maintenance.
- Clearing invasive species and planting indigenous species around our wildlife pond.
- Maintenance and regrowth of hedgerows.
- Tree felling.

- Care of bees and hives. (depending on time of year).

What to Bring
- Clothing: Wellies, gloves, suitable and warm work clothes, waterproofs.
- Camping equipment: Tent, sleeping mat and bag, suitable warm bedding, pillow, cooking equipment.
- Hand disinfectant.
- Head torch
- Watch
- Note pad and pencil
- Camera
- We will provide laundry facilities
